Blue Kyanite Blade
Long, flat blades of blue crystal with a pearly, streaky shine. The colour runs from pale to deep blue in stripes along the length of each blade.
About blue kyanite blade
Kyanite is an aluminium silicate. Its name comes from the Greek kyanos, meaning blue. It is unusual because its hardness changes with direction: about 4.5 along the blade and around 7 across it.
In crystal tradition blue kyanite is linked with calm, clear communication and alignment. It is said to be a stone that does not hold onto negative energy, so it is often used to cleanse other crystals.
How people use it
Lay a blade on a desk or bedside table, or rest other crystals beside it. Popular in grids and for holding during meditation.
Care
Brittle and splits easily along the blade, so handle gently and avoid knocks. Do not soak. Dust with a soft brush and store flat on its own.
