Malachite
Vivid green stone banded in rings and swirls of light and dark green, often forming eye-like circles. It has a silky to glassy shine and a striking, almost painted look.
About malachite
Malachite is a copper carbonate mineral that forms where copper deposits weather. Its name is thought to come from the Greek for mallow, a plant with green leaves. It was ground into green pigment and carved for jewellery and ornaments.
Crystal tradition calls Malachite a stone of transformation. It is said to absorb negative energy and encourage change and growth, and it is traditionally linked with protection, especially for travellers.

Display Malachite on a shelf or desk where its bands can be seen, or hold it during meditation. Many people keep it close during times of change.
Care
Malachite contains copper, so never cut, sand or grind it, and wash your hands after handling. It is soft. Avoid water soaking, salt, acids and cleaners. Wipe with a dry cloth.
