Aventurine
Leafy to deep green with a soft shimmer, as if dusted with tiny glinting flakes. Under a light the sparkle moves across the stone as you turn it.
About aventurine
Aventurine is a form of quartz containing tiny platy mineral flakes, usually green fuchsite mica, that give it a glittering shimmer. The name comes from the Italian a ventura, meaning by chance, after a sparkling glass discovered by accident in Venice.
In crystal tradition green aventurine is known as a stone of luck and opportunity. It is said to bring optimism and a positive outlook, and is often linked with prosperity and new beginnings.
