About selenite
These beads are satin spar, a fibrous form of the mineral gypsum, sold in the crystal trade as selenite. The name comes from the Greek word selene, meaning moon, after its soft, moonlit shine.
In crystal tradition, selenite is said to be a stone of calm and clarity. It is traditionally linked with peace, light and a clear mind, and many people believe it helps to cleanse other crystals placed near it.

Best worn on calm days rather than for heavy work. It looks lovely on its own or stacked with moonstone and clear quartz, and makes a gentle gift. Tradition favours the left wrist for receiving.
Care
Selenite is very soft and dissolves slowly in water. Keep it completely dry, never cleanse it in water or salt, and store it apart from harder stones so it does not scratch.
