MAM TOR
The shivering mountainThree tiers of hand-cut Madagascan clear quartz slabs step down beneath a gilded crown. Lit, every slab shows its own veils and clouds.
Natural stone: the veils and inclusions in yours will be its own. We send photos of your slabs before we set them.
Named for the
shivering mountain
Mam Tor, near Castleton in the Peak District, is called the shivering mountain because its layered shale slips and slides. Three tiers of hand-cut quartz slabs step down beneath a gilded crown, layered like the hill itself.
Madagascan clear quartz
Each slab is cut from natural quartz and polished by hand. We keep the veils and clouds that glass could never have. That is what the light catches.

Cut, set and lit
in our workshop
Blocks of quartz are sawn under running water, then cut and polished. Every stone is chosen by hand and fixed by hand. Every light is switched on and checked before it leaves us.
Crated and insured, delivered to your door. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended; we can recommend one near you.
Dust with a soft dry brush. Quartz does not fade or tarnish.
As each MAM TOR is made to order from natural stone, we confirm your slabs with you before we begin.
