Moss Agate
Clear to milky white stone filled with green, moss-like or fern-like inclusions that look like a tiny garden or pond weed frozen in glass. Some pieces show touches of brown or red.
About moss agate
Moss Agate is a type of chalcedony, a fine-grained form of quartz. It has no bands like other agates. Its green patterns are mineral inclusions, often chlorite or hornblende, that branch through the stone like plants. Much of it comes from India.
Moss Agate is traditionally known as the gardener's stone. Crystal tradition links it with growth, abundance and connection to nature, and it is said to bring a sense of calm and new beginnings.
How people use it
Place one in a plant pot, on a windowsill with your houseplants, or carry it in a pocket. It is a popular gift for gardeners and anyone starting something new.
Care
Moss Agate is hard and hard-wearing. Rinse in lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth. It is fine in sunlight.
Crystal meanings describe tradition and belief, not medical advice.
