Calendula
Dried calendula petals in glowing gold and orange.
About calendula
Calendula, or pot marigold, takes its name from the Latin calendae, the first day of the month, because it flowers for most of the year. It has been grown in European cottage gardens for centuries.
As a bright sun flower, calendula is used in witchcraft for happiness and success, and was hung in doorways to keep bad energy out.
In a potion
Add it to happiness and success potions, or sprinkle a little around a yellow success candle.
Safety
For rituals and display only, not for eating or drinking. Keep away from children and pets, and store dry, out of direct sunlight.
Herb meanings describe folk tradition and belief, not medical advice.
