Ruby (HQ)
Deep red tumblestones with a smooth polish. These higher grade pieces have a richer, more even red, from raspberry to dark crimson, with a soft shine.
About ruby (hq)
Ruby is the red variety of corundum, the same mineral as sapphire, coloured by chromium. Its name comes from the Latin ruber, meaning red. It is the birthstone for July and one of the hardest natural stones.
In crystal tradition ruby is linked with passion, vitality and courage. It is said to stir enthusiasm and love of life, and has long been seen as a stone of devotion and protection.
How people use it
A treasured pocket stone or bedside piece. Often given as a gift for a July birthday or a ruby anniversary, and used in grids for love and energy.
Care
Very hard and durable, so it can scratch other stones. Store separately and clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
Crystal meanings describe tradition and belief, not medical advice.
