Looking after your calcite
Keep it out of strong sunSome coloured calcite can fade in strong sun, and clear spheres can focus sunlight like a lens. Keep it off sunny windowsills.
Cleanse it now and thenLeave it in moonlight overnight, on a selenite plate, or next to a singing bowl.
A quick rinse onlyCalcite is soft and is eaten away by acids, even vinegar or lemon. Rinse and dry it quickly, never soak it, and skip salt and cleaners.
