Fire Agate
Deep brown stone with iridescent flashes of red, orange, gold and green that shift as you turn it. The fiery colour sits in bubbly layers just under the surface.
About fire agate
Fire agate is a form of chalcedony, a fine grained quartz, found mainly in Mexico and the south western United States. Its rainbow fire comes from very thin layers of iron oxide within the stone, which split light into colours.
In crystal tradition fire agate is a stone of passion and protection. It is said to bring courage, energy and a warm, steady strength, and is traditionally linked with drive and willpower.
How people use it
Carry fire agate for confidence, keep it in a creative space, or place it by the door as a protective stone. Its flashing colour makes it a striking piece for a collection.
Care
Hard and durable, but the fiery layers sit close to the surface, so avoid knocks and abrasive cleaners. Clean with water and a soft cloth and store on its own.
Crystal meanings describe tradition and belief, not medical advice.
