Kunzite
Pale pink to lilac crystal with a soft, glassy clarity. Good pieces glow gently when held to the light and can show a lighter or deeper pink from different angles.
About kunzite
Kunzite is the pink to violet variety of spodumene, coloured by manganese. It is named after George F. Kunz, the gem expert at Tiffany & Co. who described it in the early 1900s.
Crystal tradition links kunzite with gentle love, compassion and calm. It is said to soothe the heart and encourage kindness towards yourself and others.
How people use it
Kept by the bed, carried in a pouch or held during quiet meditation. It is a thoughtful gift and sits well alongside rose quartz in a heart grid.
Care
Kunzite fades in sunlight, so keep it out of bright light. It splits easily along its cleavage, so avoid knocks, heat and ultrasonic cleaners. Wipe with a damp cloth.
Crystal meanings describe tradition and belief, not medical advice.
