About bay leaf (one leaf)
Bay laurel was sacred to Apollo in ancient Greece. Winners at the Pythian Games were crowned with laurel wreaths, and the priestess of the oracle at Delphi was linked with the laurel tree.
Bay is the wish leaf of folk magic: write your wish on a bay leaf and keep it in your potion, or burn it safely to send the wish on its way.
In a potion
Write your wish on the leaf with a pen and add it to your potion, or keep it in your purse.
Safety
For rituals and display only, not for eating or drinking. Keep away from children and pets, and store dry, out of direct sunlight.
Herb meanings describe folk tradition and belief, not medical advice.
